1 killed, 2 injured in east-side Detroit shooting

A shooting early Wednesday on Detroit's east side left a 29-year-old woman dead and two others injured, police said.
The shooting took place about 1:40 a.m. in an alley off Chalmers and Elmdale, south of East Outer Drive.
A passenger of a Crown Victoria got out at the scene wearing black and a ski mask and began shooting a long gun at a group. The 29-year-old was hit in her left and right thighs, and her upper and mid-back.
A 31-year-old woman was shot twice in her right arm and had her left pinky finger shot off. A scout car saw her on the 14400 block of Corbett, a block south of the shooting, and transported her to a hospital, where she was listed in stable condition.
Another man was shot in his left shoulder, police said. He was listed in stable condition.
