Detroit — Firefighters are trying to extinguish a large house fire Friday night on the city's east side, officials said.

The fire was reported after 7:30 p.m. at an abandoned home on 3700 block of Concord Avenue, near Gratiot and Mack Avenue.

Deputy Fire Commissioner Dave Fornell said multiple fire trucks are on the scene and firefighters are working from afar.

"They're not going inside," he said. "... and it's not posing a danger to anyone."

Fornell said there's no indication of what caused the fire and no injuries have been reported.
