Man, 31, injured in shooting in southwest Detroit

Detroit — A 31-year-old man is in temporary serious condition Saturday after being shot on the city's southwest side, police say. 

Detroit police said the incident occurred at 3:46 a.m. in the 2100 block of South Liddesdale Street, near South Fort Street and Schaefer Highway. 

The victim told police he was standing outside of a residence when he heard shots and realized he was shot. 

He was privately taken to the hospital and was listed in temporary serious condition. 

Detroit police are investigating the incident.
