Detroit police are investigating a mid-August incident wherein a woman's truck window was shattered at a gas station, her purse stolen, and her bank card used to buy gas at another station.

On August 12, at about 5:35 p.m., at a gas station on the 18000 block of West Eight Mile, a 60-year-old woman left her blue truck and went inside the gas station to make a purchase.

A red Ford Focus then pulled up. A man got out of the Focus, shattered the back passenger window of the woman's truck, stole the woman's purse, then fled.

A time later, a man was spotted using her debit card at another gas station. The video shows the man making a purchase with the card and getting cash back.

Police are asking that anyone with information on the larceny or can identify the man who used the debit card to call (313) 596-5800 and share what they know.
