A 16-year-old male was arrested after the body of a 35-year-old man fatally stabbed and covered in plastic behind a home on Detroit's east side Wednesday night.

The man's body was found just before 9:40 p.m. on the 12500 block of Payton, said Dontae Freeman, a spokesman for the Detroit Police Department. The area is south of Moross and east of Kelly.

A woman noticed a trail of blood leading from the side of the home to the back of the home, and there she found the victim dead, having been stabbed multiple times, and covered in plastic.

The 16-year-old was arrested shortly after in connection to the homicide, Freeman said.
