Woman, 20, robbed on Grand River
Detroit police are investigating a 20-year-old woman's robbery late Tuesday night on Grand River.
The robbery took place about 9 p.m. on the 18000 block of Grand River, said Dontae Freeman, a Detroit Police Department spokesman. That's at Fenkell and the Southfield Freeway.
The woman was sitting in the passenger seat of a vehicle and noticed a red car in the area pull into and out of a parking lot.
The red car returned, and a man got out and approached the woman as she sat. The suspect, for whom only a limited description was available, demanded the woman's phone and purse. She complied, then he got back into the red car and drove off.
