Detroit police investigate non-fatal west side shooting

Detroit police are investigating a non-fatal shooting that happened early Monday morning on the city's west side, officials said.

The incident happened at about 12 a.m. Monday in the area of West Warren Avenue and Minock Street, Detroit Police officer Dan Donakowski said.

A 29-year-old man was shot in the right shoulder. Donakowski said the victim told officers he heard a shot and then felt pain in his shoulder.

Police are searching for suspects, he said.
