Police: Man slain by armed trio on west side

A 31-year-old man was killed Tuesday night by an armed trio while working on his car, Detroit police said.

The fatal shooting took place just before 10 p.m. on the 19000 block of Annchester, said Dontae Freeman, a spokesman for the Detroit Police Department. That's south of West Seven Mile and east of Evergreen.

Police say three man approached the victim, as he was in the rear of his vehicle, and opened fire, striking him multiple times. He died from his injuries.

No suspect description was immediately available.
