Detroit police are investigating after an unidentified woman's body was found in a fire Wednesday morning on the city's west side.
Police responded to the 1600 block of Glynn Court at 7:45 a.m. after her body was discovered, said Dontae Freeman, a spokesman for the Detroit Police Department. That's north of West Chicago and east of Rosa Parks Boulevard.
The circumstances of the woman's death are not immediately known, and no suspect description has yet been offered.
Dave Fornell, deputy commissioner of the Detroit Fire Department, said firefighters responded to a reported rubbish fire at 7:34 a.m., extinguished the fire, and discovered a human body inside.
