A 21-year-old Detroit man is in temporary serious condition after a bullet came through a window of his home and struck him in the shoulder.

The shooting took place about 1:40 a.m. on the 9300 block of Auburn, said Officer Dan Donakowski, a Detroit Police Department spokesman. The area is south of West Chicago and east of Evergreen on Detroit's west side.

The victim was in the living room of the home when shots came through the window from the street.
