Police: Man wounds ex, kills her mother in triple shooting

Detroit police are looking for a 32-year-old man suspected in a triple shooting Monday morning that wounded his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend and killed her mother.
The triple shooting took place just before 3 a.m. on the 5200 block of Kensington, police said. The area is on the city's east side, north of East Warren and east of East Outer Drive.
Police say the shooting started with a home invasion, when the suspect entered his ex-girlfriend's home through a side door.
The suspect went to her mother's upstairs bedroom and shot the 64-year-old woman multiple times in her upper body. She died from her injuries.
Police said the suspect then shot his 29-year-old ex-girlfriend in her lower stomach, and her new boyfriend, a 33-year-old man, on his right side. Conditions for those two victims are not immediately available.
Police named the suspect as Cornelius Dennis, and describe him as a 32-year-old man standing 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing 160 to 170 pounds. He left before police arrived.
Dennis, police said, "is known to drive" a 2016 black Chevy Silverado pickup truck, with a Michigan license plate number of DSL 1817.
There were two small children in the home, who were not hurt in the shooting.
