Accused Comerica Park pizza spitter faces felony charge

A 20-year-old Detroit man faces charges that could land him in prison for up to four years following a video that appeared to show him spitting on a pizza to be served at a Comerica Park concession stand, the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office announced Tuesday.
The spitting incident was captured on Sept. 21 on Instagram. Authorities allege that after spitting on the pizza dough, suspect Jaylon Kerley, 20, covered his saliva with pizza sauce.
Comerica Park security was called in and notified police. Kerley was arrested on Sunday.
He faces one felony count of food law violations, which could merit up to four years in prison, and one misdemeanor count, punishable by up to 90 days in jail.
At his arraignment Tuesday at Detroit's 36th District Court, Kerley was given a $10,000 bond.
