Suspect sought in shooting at east Detroit bar

Detroit police are working to find a man who allegedly opened fire Friday night at an east side bar.
Bouncers told investigators that the suspect had been causing a disturbance at the nightspot in the 14600 block of Kercheval and was then kicked out. But shortly after, the man "walked across the street and fired shots in the direction of the bar's front door," authorities said in a statement.
When officers arrived around 9:40 p.m., they spotted the man firing shots and noted debris bouncing off the building, according to the release. No injuries were reported.
The suspect, later identified only as a 24-year-old, immediately fled on foot. Police searched the 1300 block of Manistique but failed to find him.
Meanwhile, officers retrieved a sawed-off shotgun and two shell casings from the scene.
