16-year-old shot near Detroit high school
Detroit — A 16-year-old boy was injured in a drive-by shooting Tuesday near a high school on the city's east side, police said.
Detroit police said the incident occurred at 4 p.m. while the victim was walking down a street near Osborn High School, at East Seven Mile and Hoover Street.
Detroit police Officer Dan Donakowski said a white vehicle drove by and "someone inside the vehicle fired a shot at him."
The 16-year-old was shot in the leg and taken to a hospital. Police did not know his condition.
