Windsor police recovered a body from the Detroit River Wednesday that was floating on the Canadian side, officials said. 

Windsor Police Services received a call regarding a body in the water and shortly after 3:30 p.m., the body was found near the foot of Goyeau Street, near the tunnel. 

Windsor Police Services Sgt. Steve Betteridge did not provide any information on the victim but said the incident is being investigated.
