A surveillance camera captured vehicle wanted in connection with shooting Tuesday in 11000 block of Lappin that wounded a 16-year-old

Detroit police are working to find four people wanted in connection with a drive-by shooting this week on the city’s east side.

A 16-year-old boy was leaving a vacant home in the 11000 block of Lappin about 4:50 p.m. Tuesday when the group, all dressed in black, drove up, investigators said in a statement.

"There was an exchange of words, then gunfire," according to the release.

The teen suffered a single gunshot wound. Medics transported to him a nearby hospital, where he was listed in temporary serious condition, police said Friday.

Authorities have released surveillance images of the vehicle involved. It is described as a white, newer model Chrysler 200, Honda or Nissan.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Detroit Police Department at (313) 596-5940. Anonymous tips can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers of Michigan at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
