Detroit — Michigan State Police are investigating a shooting Thursday night on Southfield Freeway that injured two men.

The victims, 29 and-30-year-old men, arrived at Providence Hospital in Southfield with gunshot wounds, per a Michigan State Police statement on the double shooting. One of the men was left in critical condition, the other in stable condition.

The victims were able to speak after the shooting, but declined to, not even telling police where they were when they were shot.

But the early belief now is that the victims were on the northbound side of Southfield Freeway, between Seven Mile and Eight Mile. Police collected evidence from that area and will continue to investigate.
