Detroit — A 38-year-old man is in temporary serious condition after being shot in the neck Saturday at a gas station on the city’s northwest side. 

The incident occurred at 3:57 a.m. at a Sunoco gas station in the 19000 block of West Seven Mile Road. 

Police said the circumstances of the incident are unclear but the victim was shot in the neck and then taken to the hospital. 

Police are searching for Ervaughn Jamel Griffin, 29. Griffin is described as standing 6-foot, 3 inches tall, 175 pounds, last seen wearing a pair of Cartier glasses, a white T-shirt, blue jeans and armed with a handgun. He was driving an older model gray Chevy Impala. 

The gas station is a Green Light location, however, police have not released video of the incident.
