Detroit — Four people were stabbed, one of them fatally, at a gas station early Sunday on the city's west side, police said.

Police said the quadruple stabbing and homicide took place about 12:30 a.m. at a Marathon gas station on the 7600 block of Livernois, at Tireman.

A man believed to be age 28 to 30 was stabbed in the chest. After being privately taken to a hospital, he died in the emergency room. 

All four victims were privately conveyed to the hospital. In addition to the man who died, an unidentified man, whose age is not known, was stabbed in the stomach and left in critical condition.

A 20-year-old man was stabbed in the stomach and is listed in critical condition. And a 32-year-old black woman was cut on her left arm and listed in stable condition.

Police do not yet know the circumstances surrounding the stabbing and offered no suspect description.
