Harrison Township man charged in Detroit homicide
A Harrison Township man was charged Tuesday after authorities said he shot two men, killing one, after they arrived at his Detroit business to secure property under court control for debts.
David Erwin Unger, 55, was charged with first-degree murder, assault with intent to commit murder and two counts of felony firearm.
Unger is charged in the deathof Mark Siecinski, 56, of Clarkston and the shooting of a 63-year-old man from Farmington.
Police said the incident occurred at 6:20 p.m. on Sept. 29. The two victims went to Unger's business in the 11800 block of Freud in Detroit to appraise and secure the property under court control for debts owed.
It is alleged that Unger, armed with a handgun, saw the men approach the property and fired multiple times, fatally shooting Siecinski. The 63-year-old man who was shot survived.
Unger was arraigned Wednesday in 36th District Court and remanded to jail. He is scheduled for a probable cause conference Oct. 24 and a preliminary exam Oct. 31.
