Detroit — A 36-year-old man is recovering after being shot in the leg in a drive-by early Sunday on the city's east side.

The shooting took place about 2 a.m. on the 3400 block of Seyburn, which is south of Mack and west of Van Dyke.

The victim was walking to his vehicle when a black or blue Dodge Caravan, headed southbound on Seyburn, fired shots as it drove by, striking the man in the leg.

The victim got in his vehicle and drove himself to a hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
