Detroit — A 23-year-old man is in stable condition after being shot in both legs while gambling late Tuesday night on Detroit's west side, police said.

The shooting took place about 11:45 p.m. on the 5700 block of the Southfield Freeway service drive, north of Joy Road.

Officer Holly Lowe, a Detroit Police Department spokeswoman, said the victim became "evasive" about sharing details of the shooting and circumstances with police.

The suspects are described only as two armed men who wore jogging suits.
