Detroit — A 33-year-old woman is recovering after taking a graze wound to her neck as she arrived at her east-side home with her family late Wednesday night, police said.

The shooting took place at 11:53 p.m. on the 3000 block of Bedford, said Officer Dan Donakowski. That's at Mack and west of East Outer Drive.

The woman arrived home with her children and her boyfriend, and there was a white, four-door Chevy Impala parked next door to her home.

Someone from the Impala then fired shots, hitting the woman in her neck before fleeing north on Bedford. No detailed suspect description is available.

Medics transported the victim to an area hospital, where she's listed in stable condition.
