Detroit — A 44-year-old man was robbed of his cash and a pair of designer glasses after being held up at gunpoint Sunday afternoon at a Seven Mile gas station on Detroit's east side, police said.
The armed robbery took place about 4:30 p.m. at a gas station on the 11000 block of East Seven Mile, said Dontae Freeman, a Detroit Police Department spokesman. The area is just east of East Outer Drive.
Police say the victim was at a gas pump when a black Lincoln MKZ pulled up next to him at the station. The driver of the MKZ rolled down a window and pointed a handgun at the victim.
The man holding the gun demanded the victim hand over his possessions: money and the glasses.
The victim complied, and the MKZ pulled away.
