Maria Gomez went missing from the city's southwest side after her mother dropped her off to catch the bus to school. The mother went to the school at 9:15 a.m. to check on her daughter but learned she had never showed up.

Maria is described as Hispanic, 5 feet tall and 100 pounds. She has blonde hair. She is in good physical and mental condition.

She was last seen wearing her school uniform that included black pants and a burgundy polo shirt, police said.
