Three women have been charged in the fatal hit-and-run of a 19-year-old Detroit woman in August, officials said.

Destiny Grace Easterling 19, Charlie Desharon-Marlene Wooten, 20, and Teriana Alane Hicks, 20, all of Detroit, have been charged in connection with the crime, according to the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office.

Easterling has been charged with first-degree murder, a crime punishable by up to life in prison, according to authorities. She was arraigned last week Oct. 23 in 36th District Court and ordered held in jail without bail. She's scheduled to return to court for a hearing on Nov. 5.

Hicks has been charged with second-degree murder, which also carries a penalty of up to life in prison. She was scheduled to be formally charged in court later Wednesday.

Wooten has been charged with tampering with evidence, a 4-year felony. Officials said she was arraigned in 36th District Court on the charge Tuesday. A magistrate ordered her to be held on a $25,000 bond and scheduled her next court appearance for next Tuesday.

Prosecutors said the three women are accused of hitting Destiny Lanee Parks, 19, with a car at about 3:15 p.m. on Aug. 11 in the 15700 block of Hubbell Avenue near Midland Street on Detroit's west side.

Police were called to the location and found Parks' body on Midland Street near Strathmoor.

Investigators believe the three defendants had been embroiled in a feud with the victim on social media.

The defendants drove to the victim's house and their argument escalated until Easterling attempted to strike one of the victim's friend with a vehicle, authorities said. The vehicle struck a curb and then the victim, who landed on the car's hood.

Easterling stopped the vehicle causing Parks to fall off its hood. Easterling allegedly ran over Parks and fled the scene, officials said.

Medics arrived and pronounced Park dead at the scene.
