Man stabbed in stomach, back on west side
Detroit — A 36-year-old Detroit man is in critical condition after suffering several stab wounds in an early Tuesday attack on the city's west side, police said.
The stabbing took place about 1:40 a.m. in the area of Schaefer and Puritan, said Officer Dan Donakowski, a Detroit Police Department spokesman.
Police were called to the area and arrived to find the victim leaning against a pole, having been stabbed in his stomach, back and right hand.
The circumstances of the stabbing are not immediately known, nor was any suspect description immediately available.
