Detroit — A man was nonfatally shot after three men open fire on him Friday night on the city's east side, police said.

Police said the incident happened at 8:35 p.m. on Six Mile and Gratiot when the victim noticed three men pull up in a car beside him.

The victim said several shots were fired. He sustained a gunshot wound to the left leg and his lower back. He was taken to the hospital for treatment and is listed in stable condition, police said. 

Police are searching for three men in a blue or gray Charger with an unknown license plate.
