Detroit police are working to find a suspect in a drive-by shooting Tuesday that left two people dead on the city's north side.

A man and a woman were sitting in a gray Chevrolet Impala in the 19400 block of Andover about 2:20 p.m. when a red or burgundy Chevy Monte Carlo pulled up and a driver opened fire, investigators said in a statement.

The victims, both identified as 26 years old, were rushed to a hospital, where they were pronounced dead, according to the release.

Authorities did not release a description of a suspect.
