1 dead, 1 hurt in shooting on Detroit's east side
Detroit police are investigating a double shooting that left one person dead Wednesday on the city's east side.
Authorities were called to the 9000 block of Conner and found a man and woman with gunshot wounds, said Officer Holly Lance, a spokeswoman for the Detroit Police Department.
The man, believed to be in his late 20s, was pronounced dead. The woman was rushed to a local hospital. Her condition was not available.
Police do not yet have a description of a suspect or what led to the incident.
