Police seek 3 in fatal Saturday shooting on Detroit's east side
Detroit — Police asked the public Monday for help to find a suspect and two persons of interest in a fatal Saturday shooting on the city's east side.
The shooting happened at about 11:20 p.m. Saturday in the 11000 block of East Seven Mile Road near Outer Drive. An 18-year-old man was killed.
Police said the victim was in a gas station when an unknown male suspect entered the business.
As the victim was leaving the store, the suspect grabbed the victim's Cartier glasses and shot him. The suspect then fled in a red Chevrolet Cobalt that was traveling east on Seven Mile, according to police.
The victim was taken to a hospital where he died from his injuries, officials said.
Investigators are searching for the suspect as well as two other men who may have information about the shooting. Both men were seen with the suspect before the shooting, authorities said.
Police released an image of the suspect and the persons of interest captured by the gas station's security cameras.
Anyone with information about the three men should call the Detroit Police Department's Homicide Section at (313) 596-2260 or Crime Stoppers of Michigan at 1 (800) SPEAKUP.
