Detroit — Police are investigating an early Friday morning drive-by shooting that injured three men on the city's east side, officials said.

The incident happened at about 12:45 a.m. in the 19000 block of Yonka near East Seven Mile and Ryan, according to a preliminary investigation, said Latrice Crawford, a Detroit police spokeswoman.

The victims, two 27-year-old men and a 31-year-old man, were at a party at a home on the block when a car, possibly a Dodge Charger, passed and someone inside the vehicle fired at a gun at them, police said.

The victims were privately conveyed to a hospital and police do not yet have word on their conditions. They told investigators the shooting happened quickly and they were not aware of any conflict that would have prompted the shooting, authorities said.
