Detroit police seek man in sex assault of 12-year-old boy

Detroit — Police are searching for a man who broke into a home on the city's east side and sexually assaulted a 12-year-old boy, officials said.

Officers at about 3:36 a.m. Friday received a call reporting a home invasion and sexual assault of a minor in the 5700 block of Beaconsfield near East Outer Drive.

The man was armed, police said.

Officials said they didn't have any more details at this time.
