Detroit — Police are investigating an early Friday morning carjacking of a woman on the city's west side, officials said.

Latrice Crawford, a Detroit police spokeswoman, said the incident happened at about 1:40 a.m. Friday in the 11000 block of Braile near Plymouth and Burt.

The victim, a 39-year-old woman, was approached by two men on foot. She fled the men and dropped her belongings, including phone and the keys to her 2018 Lexus. The suspects then grabbed the keys and drove off, police said.

Both men were described between 18 and 20 years old, the victim told police. One had taken his white T-shirt off and was wearing it around his head. The other was dressed in green or turquoise pants.
