Detroit — Police are investigating a Thursday night non-fatal shooting of a 29-year-old man on the city's east side, officials said.

Officers were called at about 11:38 p.m. Thursday to the area of Peter Hunt Street and Raymond Avenue near Gratiot and Harper avenues to respond to a report of a shooting.

The victim told police he was walking down the street near two men who were arguing. He then heard a gunshot and felt pain.
