Detroit — A 24-year-old man died early Saturday after being fatally struck by a vehicle on the city's east side, police said.
Detroit police responded to the incident at 1:37 a.m. on East Seven Mile and Rowe Street.
There, they determined the victim was crossing the street when he was struck by a 2008 light blue Dodge Caravan. The driver of the vehicle, a 58-year-old man, remained at the scene.
The victim was taken to the hospital, where he died.
Police said it appears that alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
