Detroit police are seeking tips to find a man wanted in connection with malicious destruction of property on the city’s east side.

Surveillance footage shows the man walking up to a parked vehicle in the 1000 block of Rivard at about 12:45 p.m. July 23 and throwing a liquid substance on the hood that caused the paint to peel, investigators said in a statement.

"The suspect may have damaged several other vehicles in the area," the notice said.

Authorities describe the man as 60-70 years old, with a slim build and silver hair, last seen wearing black jogging pants, a gray hooded sweater and black flip-flops.

Anyone who recognizes him or knows his whereabouts is asked to call the Detroit Police Department’s 7th Precinct at (313) 596-5740. Anonymous tips can also be submitted through Crime Stoppers of Michigan at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
