Man, 24, fatally beaten in southwest Detroit

Detroit — A 24-year-old man died after a fight early Saturday in southwest Detroit, police said.

Police found the victim at 5:22 a.m. near Stratton and Waterman Street near Vernor Highway. Medics arrived and pronounced the man dead on the scene.

Before succumbing to his injuries, he told police a suspect he was having problems with approached him and they started fighting. Then another suspect joined in the fight.

Police are searching for three men in a black Honda. No further information was released.
