Detroit — Detroit Police are asking for the public's help to catch a suspect involved in robberies at two liquor stores in the city over the past 10 days.

On August 5 the suspect was recorded taking cigarettes and cash from Asmar Party Store on the 16000 block of Seven Mile on Detroit's east side. The unidentified male suspect had previously broken into the store one other time, police said.

On August 11 the suspect was recorded taking cigarettes and multiple bottles of liquor from Universal Liquor and Wine on the 19000 block of Grand River on Detroit's west side after entering the store through its roof. The suspect has broken into the store two other times in the past, police said.

Detroit police detectives investigating the break-ins believe that one man is the suspect for both the August 5 and 11 robberies.

Anyone who recognizes the individual or knows of his whereabouts is asked to contact Detroit Police Department's 8th Precinct Detective Unit by calling (313) 596-5840 or CRIMESTOPPERS at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
