Detroit police are seeking tips to find a person of interest wanted in connection to a 28-year-old woman's slaying.

City fire officials found the victim's remains burned beyond recognition at about 7:15 a.m. July 3 in a vacant home on the 14000 block of Young, investigators said in a statement.

Detroit police would say only that the body was identified as that of a 28-year-old woman.

Lily Camara

Ferndale police have said it was Lily Camara, who had been reported missing after failing to show up for an event on July 2.

Detroit authorities said the person of interest they seek was last seen driving Camara's black 2017 Ford Edge.

A full description of the man was not released Monday.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the Detroit Police Department’s Homicide Unit at (313) 596-2260. Anonymous tips can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers of Michigan at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
