$2,500 reward for tips in woman's slaying in Detroit
Authorities announced a $2,500 reward Tuesday for tips in the slaying of a woman who disappeared in Detroit two years ago.
Relatives reported Mia Patterson was last seen May 25, 2017, Crime Stoppers of Michigan said in a statement.
Patterson's boyfriend said he dropped the 25-year-old off near her home at the corner of Plymouth and Mendota, then saw the mother "get into a small white vehicle with two other gentlemen," according to the release.
When Patterson failed to return days later, her mother filed a missing person report with police, officials said.
In April 2018, remains were found in the 14000 block of Ward on Detroit’s west side. Through DNA samples taken from relatives, investigators in June confirmed the remains were those of Patterson, Crime Stoppers said.
