Detroit police have released surveillance footage of a person wanted in connection with an armed robbery this week at a fast food restaurant on the city’s east side.

The man was a passenger in a red 2019 Dodge Charger that pulled up to a drive-through window at about 9 p.m. Monday in the 17000 block of Harper, investigators said in a statement.

A security camera captured the man, who appeared to cover his face with a dark shirt, walking from the car, reaching into the drive-through and pointing a gun at the cashier before demanding money from the register.

After taking a handful of bills, he fled on foot while the Dodge drove east on Harper, according to the release.

The male is described as in his 20s, 6 feet tall with a medium-brown complexion and a thin build.

Anyone who recognizes him or knows his whereabouts is asked to call the Detroit Police Department at (313) 596-5540. Anonymous tips also can be submitted through Crime Stoppers of Michigan at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
