Woman, boy hit by truck on east side; driver arrested

Detroit — A pedestrian-car crash Monday morning on Detroit's east side left a woman and a boy injured and the driver, a 52-year-old man, under arrest, police said.
The crash took place about 7:10 a.m. in the area of Morang and Kelly, said Latrice Crawford, a Detroit Police Department spokeswoman.
Police say the victims, a 39-year-old woman and an 11-year-old boy, were crossing the street when hit by a Ford F-150 pickup.
Medics took the victims to a hospital. The woman is listed in temporary serious condition; the boy is listed in critical.
Police arrested the driver of the truck.
