Girl found wandering in Detroit reunited with parent; investigation continues

Detroit police say a child found about 10:30 p.m.Thursday wandering a west side neighborhood alone has been reunited with a parent.

An investigation will continue by Child Protective Services into how the little girl, about 2 or 3 years old, was left alone and had not been reported missing for hours.
The police say a good Samaritan called officers around 10:30 p.m. after finding the girl in the 15000 block of Appleton, near Interstate 96 and Telegraph.
