Detroit — Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 23-year-old man on the city's east side, officials said.

According to a preliminary investigation, the shooting happened Friday in the 18000 block of Lamont near East Seven Mile and Ryan on Detroit's east side. Police said they received a call about the shooting at about 11:30 a.m.

Officials said it appears two men had arrived at the victim's home to confront him about a post he put on social media.

An argument began and the two men got into the home and then fatally shot the victim, police said.

Investigators are searching for the suspects.

Anyone with information about the shooting should call Crime Stoppers of Michigan at 1 (800) SPEAK-UP.
