Crime Stoppers of Michigan has announced a $2,500 reward for tips in a fatal shooting reported in Detroit's west side last summer.

Relatives told investigators DeAnte Clark and Brandi Brown had been with a friend at a home on the 18400 block of Robson at about 2:30 a.m. Aug. 22 when two people were let in.

The reward was announced during a press conference Wednesday.

Police have said at least one of the pair opened fire once inside, striking Clark, Brown and their friend.

The suspects fled the scene in what witnesses described as a dark SUV.

Clark, a 26-year-old father of four, died at the scene. Brown, 25, who had been hit in her head and face, was hospitalized and died from her injuries.

Their friend, described as a man in his 20s, also was wounded but survived.
