Woman dies in single car crash on Davison Freeway in Detroit

Detroit — Michigan State Police are investigating a Tuesday night car crash on the Davison Freeway that claimed the life of a woman, officials said.
Troopers were called at about 9:40 p.m. Tuesday to westbound Davison and southbound Interstate 75 for a report of a single-vehicle crash, according to authorities.
Troopers closed the freeway and nearby ramp for their investigation for about 90 minutes.
A preliminary investigation shows a female driver lost control of her vehicle and struck a wall, police said. She may have had an medical emergency before the crash, they said.
Investigators are awaiting results of an autopsy.
