Reward offered for tips after man's body found on roof in west Detroit
Detroit — Crime Stoppers of Michigan is offering a reward for information that leads to an arrest in the death of a man whose body was found on the roof of a west-side home in December.
Drevon Johnson, 20, was killed on Dec. 17 in the 15300 block of Lesure Street between Fenkell and Keeler.
Johnson was last seen the day before this death. His mother grew concerned after not hearing from him and when he failed to attend holiday gatherings, according to a Crime Stoppers release.
His mother posted on Facebook asking if anyone had seen him. Later, she learned there was a shooting on Lesure and the family arranged a search party.
About 12:15 p.m. on Jan. 17, Johnson's body was found on the roof of a home.
Johnson had aspired to become a gaming engineer, as he loved video games, his family told Crime Stoppers. He was good with his hands and liked to work on cars and play basketball. His daughter Bella was born just months after his death, according to the release.
Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,500 cash reward for information that leads to an arrest.
