Detroit police seek tips to find man who threw liquor bottle in store

Detroit — Police are asking for tips to find a man who threw a liquor bottle at a flat screen monitor in an east side store.

Detroit police are looking to identify the man in glasses.

The incident happened at about 10:15 p.m. on Sept. 28 at the McDonalds Drugs and Liquor Store in the 16600 block of Harper near Whittier, officials said.

The man entered the store and walked up to the store's counter to speak to an employee, according to authorities. Seven minutes later, he threw a liquor bottle against a flat screen monitor and left.

Police said he got into a blue Ford Explorer and drove away.

The man is described as about 6 foot 1 inches tall, weighing about 190 pounds with long black hair in a ponytail, officials said. He was wearing eyeglasses with black frames, a black T-shirt, black jeans and dark colored shoes.
