Detroit police seek shooter after man killed on east side

Detroit — Police are investigating a shooting on the city's that has left one man dead, officials said.

Officers received a 911 call at about 1:40 a.m. Friday about a shooting in the area of East Remington and Conant near Dequindre and East Outer Drive, authorities said.

Police found a 25- to 30-year-old man sitting in a Kia vehicle with a gunshot wound, they said.

Medics took the man to a hospital, where he died from his injuries. Investigators are working to identify the victim and they have no suspects at this time.
